This boy...Happy Birthday Bubba! ( a day early)

This boy, this boy right here. He brings me so much joy!

Casey Hazelwood

This boy was born 7 weeks early on May 29, on a Thursday at 4:32 pm.

He weighed 4lbs 0oz and was 17 3/4in long.

I got to hold him for about 30 seconds before Casey was instructed to walk him to the NICU.

He was not breathing well and had to be transported by ambulance to another hospital.

I was not doing well myself. I almost had a stroke before Casey was born. My kidneys were not functioning properly and my blood pressure was out of control. Not until years later did I realize how serious our situation was that day! And how lucky we both were.

Casey stayed in the NICU at St. Paul Medical Center for 13 days. His lungs improved and he was released as soon as he learned to suck/swallow his feedings.

This boy is one of my three miraculous blessings!

(Yes, that is a pink hat. They ran out of blue that day, :( but it is Casey.)

I love him with ALL my heart!

This boys heart is like no other! It is large, and loves deeply!

This boy loves our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This boy laughs! I'm talking belly laughs and snorts!!!

This boy is in love with books! He reads about 1000 pages a week.
This boy is crazy about hot peppers! He thinks it's funny when they take his breath away!

This boy plays a GOOD game of golf.

This boy holds doors for everyone. (many times we have lost him while he was holding a door)

This boy has an incredible spirit, and wants everyone to be happy.

This boy respects adults and all those around him

This boy is almost as tall as his daddy. He is growing fast, he is now 5'11" He'll be 6'3" before we know it.
This boy gets up an hour early each day to have time to his self.
This boy sings well, and rocks out in the shower.This boy knows more about the Bible than his parents
This boy does great immitations. (George W.)

This boy loves his sister's, even though they won't leave him alone.
This boy loves potatoes and bread!

This boy likes to go fishing.

This boy LOVES American History.

This boys favorite dessert is Mexican Cheesecake.
This boy likes air soft guns.

This boy kisses my cheek goodbye every morning when I drop him off at school.

This boy likes to hear old stories, and memories.

This boy is an old soul.

This boy loves t-shirts and basketball shorts.

This boy's favorite shoes are Van's and Crocs. (size 11)
This boy is a great dancer!
This boy loves to have his back scratched.

This boy knows right from wrong and always tries to do what's best.
This boy holds a huge place in my heart!

This boy is his Mama's!
This boy is 13 years old today!
This boy...I hope he continues to be his AWESOME self during these teenage years!

Some Anna and Nature....

Anna had to dress up this week as a story book character. She chose to be Annie from the Magic Treehouse series. The name of the book was High Tide in Hawaii. In this book Annie was dressed Hawaiian with pigtails, so the costume was super easy. I thought Anna looked cute! :)

We found this birds nest in one of the trees in the backyard yesterday. It's a dove's nest. We were very careful and didn't get to close. Big Casey actually took this picture without looking through the camera. He just held the camera up to take it. I think it turned out awesome! I think I am going to crop it vertically, enlarge it, and hang it in our bedroom with a few more nature pictures I've taken.


This is a rose from one of the rose bushes from the backyard. There are about 50 roses on the bush right now. Our other rose bush is about to bloom. Those roses are yellow (my fave). It has been such a surprise this spring to see all the blooms and flowers emerge.



This little birdie came to visit us this week. The bird flew through the living room doors straight to the dining room window and hit it with a thud. We thought it was dead at first. Casey picked it up with the dust pan and set it outside. It wasn't dead, but we thought he might be hurt. I ran to get my camera and snapped a few shots. I got closer, and he flew away! Guess he was only "knocked out" for awhile. The whole ordeal was a little funny!

Neen Rides Trike Tonight

Trinity learned how to ride her tricycle tonight. She was playing on the patio with Anna and Casey. I looked outside and saw her pedaling away! No one even taught her! She learned barefoot and didn't have real pedals to work with.

Papa and Jean gave little Casey this trike for his first birthday, and over the years the pedals wore out, and we haven't found replacements. I'm kind of sad, because I don't think I have one picture of Casey on the trike.

I am so proud of Trin! She surprises me every single day!

I thought this picture was hilarious! It was a windy day today, and her dress wouldn't stay down.

She loves to pose, and LOVES these boots. She calls them her outside boots.
