Advent Day 2-5
Anna is very much into dolls. Her favorite doll, a reborn, named Amelia turned a year old, and she insisted that we celebrate her birthday with cake!
We also painted ornaments for the tree.
Girls wrote a letter to Santa. Anna watched a Youtube video that showed her how to draw Santa and his reindeer. Bub had a stomach bug, and slept on the couch most of the day.
Mason loved his candy cane, and even said "cheese" for the camera.

Advent Day 1
We started Advet today, and guess what? We got our very own Elf on the Shelf. The girls were so excited, and loved seeing his powder sugar foot prints leading to today's perch.
It seems as though he put himself in a glass vase, so that the girls wouldn't
break the touching rules, before knowing about them.
To name our elf, we all put in two names to be drawn out of a hat. The Elf would have a first name and middle name, so we drew two. The list of names that
were put in the hat were:
Anna: Peppermint & Candy Cane
Trinity: Elfie & Lollipop
Bub: Eddie & Bernard
Mason: Choo Choo ( I put that in for him, because he says it all the time)
Me: Sprinkles & Cracker Jack
Dad: Buddy & Clarke
The name of our Elf is...drum roll please...
Buddy Choo Choo
Needless to say, Trin was a little upset, and didn't quite get what we were doing. She didn't understand why she didn't get to draw her names out of the hat. The tears quickly stopped once we reminded her that Buddy Choo Choo reported everything to Santa.
Trinity did spark a conversation today about Jesus, saying that it's so nice that Jesus knows everything about you without having to have a magic elf. She said that she can just talk to Him, and He can hear her, and He loves her, and protects her. She also mentioned that she really likes the elf, but just thought of those things and that's why Jesus is better.
I told her she was so smart, and exactly right!
Jesus is way better!

Christmas card addresses
This year I ordered my Christmas cards early, thanks to a Groupon
I bought that forced me too! ;)
They came in the mail today, and I am really pleased with them!
I can't wait to start addressing them!
This year one of my Mommy groups moved to Facebook,
and sadly, all of my addresses for them were on our old
site. (miss you girls!) I've also realized that my address book does not
have all of our family and friends current addresses. If you are

Happy 5th Birthday 11/12/12
Five years ago today, on our 11th wedding anniversary, we welcomed Trinity into the world.
She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
She has shed her cocoon this year, and has opened her wings to fly.
She makes every piece of my heart smile!

Busy Week!!
This has been a busy week!
First up: Monday- Bub had his last football game, and his team won.
The team finished 8-0 for an undefeated season!
Wednesday- Halloween! The kids had a blast! Luckily, the only thing I purchased in the way of costumes this year was Mason's, and I bought it for a steal on Ebay! Anna went as a zombie, and Trin got her outfit from Nana last Christmas! She is very adamant on being a fire girl one day. We went to the local fire station last weekend, and it was amazing for her....it deserves a post of its own!
Mason walked the entire block on Halloween, and screamed if we tried to put him in his stroller. He thinks he is as big as the other kids! When we got home, he enjoyed some m&m's and a lollipop.
Thursday- My sister had her adorable baby girl.

8lbs 2oz, 20 in
Don't you just love her cheeks? I just want to kiss them!
Friday- the girls and I headed out on a 5 hour road trip for Anna's cheer competition.
Saturday- Anna's team won first place in their division! The All Stars that she cheers for actually brought home 5 first place wins!
I was so extremely proud of Anna! She has learned so much in the few months she's been cheering! She LOVES it, and I am so happy for her! She says that she can't wait to compete again!
Trin said that next year she wants to cheer! I swear, it's in the blood! I don't know how my mom every afforded having my sister and I on two teams growing up. She must have sacrificed so much being a single mom. I am so grateful for it all!
Our busy week was FUN FUN FUN!!

Mason is 18 months old!
18 Month old Mason
This little boy is growing!! He now weighs 24.8lbs, and is 33 in tall.
He knows most all animal sounds.
He signs more, eat, please, thank you, dad, mom, chicken, touchdown, nigt night, yes, and milk. We are working on read, book, and love.
He can repeat most words (when he wants to), and has about 10-15 words he uses regularly.
He understands most of the things we say, and will follow simple commands.
He plays mostly with stuffed animals, "cars" which are actually trucks, his football, and books.
He now has 10 teeth.
He sleeps about 12 hours a night, and always with his Boo bear, "Franklin", and 2 paci's. One for his mouth, and the other to hold onto all night long!
He loves leafs, sticks, and rocks.
He enjoys storytime at the library, and LOVES music class!
Daddy is still his favorite, and that's ok with me!
His favorite time of the day is when he hears dad come home from work! His hands go straight up in the air, and he gets the biggest smile on his face! He calls out...Daaa Daaa. After he gets a big snuggle from dad he always runs to get his football. Saying football, touchdown as he throws it across the room.
Mason also loves to sing and make us laugh. He will sway side to side, close his eyes, and scrunch his nose while singing. It always makes us laugh!
Mason is a good little boy! We love him so much!

Homecoming 2012
Bub had Homecoming this week. Here are some quick pictures of him

Super Mason
Super blurry, but isn't Super Mason, super cute?? After wearing a pair of pajamas around his neck for two days, I figured a cape might be more fun. I just cut up a t-shirt for now, but I have a friend who's making a "real" super hero cape for him!
I'm not sure that he has ever seen a cape, or a super hero. But...
he knew exactly what to do when I put it on him. He immediately grinned and ran around the room. Arms extended and all! Man...I LOVE little boys!
We took a little trip...
to The Woodlands this past week.
We stayed in an awesome resort!
The kids had a blast playing in the water area! It was so nice being there in the off season. It was not crowded at all! Mason surprised us all by dunking his head in the water over and over and dying out laughing when he came up.
We went to rehearsal dinner, and saw family. Mason cried almost the ENTIRE time, because he just doesn't want to be bothered or talked to. ;)
We had a great time at the wedding and reception. Emily looked beautiful! I was 10 when she was born, and it seems like it was just yesterday.
The plane ride was pretty successful, and I think our choice of seating worked well.
Just some miscellaneous pictures from the weekend. Mason tried to nap as much as possible in the car, because he was short on sleep, and tired from crying. Trinity caught a piece of the bride's bouquet, and was so happy. The girl's each got a balloon animal one morning at breakfast. My mom still can't believe how tall Bub is, and me and Mr relaxing by the pool!
It was a fun trip and a nice get away:)

I didn't tell you?
My husband LOVES football! In fact, he loves ALL football! During football season he is glued to the games, and plays in 3 different fantasy football leagues!
When we found out that Bub was a boy, I think the first word out of Casey's mouth was "football"...ok, maybe not the first word, but pretty close. Maybe it was the second or third. ;) Needless to say, he was excited about all the football possibilities a boy would bring.
As Bub grew, and boy did he grow! Casey would say, "that's my boy, he's gotta get big", "He's getting ready for an NFL contract." He even tried teaching him "touch down" for his first words!
Here are the boys on Bub's first Christmas. He was 6 months old here, and already sporting an Emmit Smith jersey!
As Bub got a little older, we could tell that he had no interest in football, non at ALL. He wouldn't even watch a football game...really, he could care less. He preferred action figures, and video games, and then books to any sports. He did try baseball, basketball, and swimming, but sports really wasn't for him. He was a gentle giant, and not competitive at all. He did play golf for school all through middle school, and did really well.
His freshman year of high school he chose not to get involved in any sports.
I don't think there is a person we come across who doesn't ask, "Wow, you're big. Do you play football?" He always shrugs and says "No, I don't play sports." This summer Bub asked me why everyone asked him about sports. I told him that sometimes God gives us gifts that we have to utilize in order to fully become the person he wants us to be. Maybe his size was a gift, and that he might be missing out on something special that God has planned for his life, if he doesn't use it.
This year Bub is taking weight lifting that is required for sophomores. One day while he was walking through the weight room the head Varsity coach asked him, "Son, why are you NOT playing football?" He responded with an," I don't know, I'll ask my mom if I can."
ASK ME? Seriously, ask ME? YES!! THERE WAS NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!
GET ON THAT FIELD!!
The next day Bub went to practice after school, literally not knowing ONE SINGLE THING about football. He didn't even have a clue about what offense and defense was. ;) The coaches have been a dream!! They lift him up each day, and they are teaching him how to be a great football player! I couldn't have asked for a better learning environment for him. These coaches love God, and you can tell by the way they love these boys!
So, in the last three weeks, Bub has played in every game! The team is undefeated, and the coaches have big plans for him!
Bub is also exhausted, and bruised, and HUNGRY! He's lost 10lbs in this short amount of time! He's also made a lot of new friends, and his grades are the best they have ever been!
So, I didn't tell you? Dad's dream for this boy since he was in utero has come true! :)
Our boy is playing FOOTBALL!!
Bub, "Bubba" to his team mates and coaches, has to be 6'5" by now? My husband is 6'3", and looks a couple inches shorter than him.
We are so proud of Bub for so many things! Our hearts are overflowing!
Guess who's next?
Quarterbacks are little right? ;)
