My little kids..

When we went to the doctor this week we had to wait quite a while before we saw a doctor.  Neen was making me laugh the entire time.  First she was bored, and then she needed to go to the bathroom. ( I made her wait, because no way were we missing our turn to see the doc.)  Then she was still bored, and then she was hungry, and then finally she was just "tired of this" and wanted to go home.  We did see the doctor shortly after, but it was quite comical waiting with this girl. ;)

While Neen and I were in the doctor's office, Bub and Mason waited in the car.  I hate taking little ones in, and leaving with more germs than what we came in with!!!  When Mason saw Trin and I he went crazy!!! I love this first picture of him, but wish it wasn't so blurry!  This is my HAPPY child, and I have such a hard time capturing this great big smile with my camera!  And... if you are wondering about why his cheek is so red...well, Bub has a hard time not kissing him to death! We all do actually, and that rosy cheek is from tons of kisses! :)

Both of these little kids are crazy and funny! They keep us laughing for sure!!

Valentine's Day at the Hazelwood house...

Happy Valentine's Day a few days late. 

This week has been a little rough. Mason got his first ear infection, and the rest of us have been dealing with a bad cold/strep throat.  It's been a clingy, coughing week, but we've almost made it through!

Valentine's brought a smile to our faces, and Trin made us all cards and art work the entire day!  She was definitely in a LOVE mood!   She was so grateful for her teddy bear and chocolates Daddy gave her!

I got the idea for the girls Valentine's cards off of Pinterest, and I think they turned out really cute! 

Trin asked to paint one of her Valentine's cards for me, and I said ok.  She paints all the time! I normally strip her down, so I'm not dealing with paint on her clothes.  Casey and I were talking in the same room that she was painting in, and she very quietly painted me a Valentine's.  She walked up to me, so proud with the biggest smile on her face.  She said "I painted you art Mom!  I'm your art!"  I smiled really big, and told her she looked beautiful, and asked what gave her the idea to do that.  She said "I just wanted to make you laugh and smile mom, and it worked...It really worked!"  I told her that I loved her, and we ran upstairs to take a bath, but not before getting a picture! ;)

Mason is 10 months old!

Seriously?  10 months old? It is so hard to believe that my little Mr. Boy will be turning one in 2 months.  His birthday falls on Easter this year! What a way to celebrate!!

Clap clap cheer!

Mason learned to clap this week and we are so proud of him! He is very proud of himself too!

I also started using a new app called Diptic that I found on a blog called Sprittibee  that I just started following! She has a post that lists several of her favorite photography apps and why she likes each one. I really like the Diptic app because it is only collages. It's really easy to use and has a lot of layouts.

Anna grabbed my camera Saturday and was able to get Mason's new clapping on video. :)

Anna went to a cheer class this weekend, and loved everything about it!  She normally likes things, but hasn't ever found a sport or activity that she loves.  Well, no more! She loves this cheer class! And really...how could she not? As my sister says...It's in the blood!  I had so much fun watching her learn how to do jumps, back handsprings, learn how to be a base in stunting, and dance! It brought back so many memories and I am so proud and happy for her!

 She seems to truly love it! She told me she wished that every day was cheer.  I have heard 5 6 7 8 a million times already.  I have actually counted her routine that many times as well, and I love it!! Tonight I told her that I was done counting and she said "please just one more time mom...I just feel good when I do it!" :0  I love that girl! She needed some happy right now to distract her from all of her school work, and she found it!!!

She's growing up way too fast!  They ALL are!

Just a few random pictures today...

This is our family Christmas picture 2011.  There were two new people added to this year's photo.  Miles and Mason were both born in 2011.  Next year, their will be another little one.  My sister in law Valerie, is due this March.  The little kids and I are flying out this weekend for Miles first birthday party, and Valeries' shower!  Today is actually Miles birthday, and I can't believe the time has passed so quickly.  It feels like he was born just yesterday!  In a couple of months, my little Mason will be one, and he will be my last first birthday. :( I'm sad already!

Last week I took Mason's monthly photo pictures. The tile was cold and Mason bear crawled all over it!  It was so funny! I didn't even know he could do that.

These two are identical! Mason always gives the same expressions as his dad, and it's scary how much they look alike.  Mason also likes to slap Casey's head.  It's crazy, but he'll pound on it in rhythm like it's a drum.

This one is just because...I love it!  His eyes melt me here, and in this picture he reminds me of Bub at about this age.

Anna absolutely loves when this happens! It's not often, but she adores it when it does!!

This is typical Neen! If you see her and Mason together, this is what she is doing.  She won't leave him alone.  She's always kissing on him. :)

Sleeping...

This past week the kids have all taken on new sleeping arrangements.  The girl's share a room, and normally they each wake up at least once a night. I can't remember the last time, if ever that they have both slept through the night.  This week I allowed them to sleep in the playroom floor on a school night, and they both slept the entire night.  Not only did they not wake up, they didn't move. They were still in the same position the next morning.  Every night since then they have slept in the playroom, and have been getting great sleep.  I think it's time to think about turning the playroom into their bedroom. Sounds like a summer project to me. Until then they are sleeping great on a pallet on the floor! :)

 My sis loves these next two pictures not only because they are so tenderly sweet, but because she is in every one of them.  The girls have had these pillow cases forever, so Amanda has made it in a lot of our sleeping pictures!!

This week I also decided to start letting Mason sleep on his own.  I had prepared myself for many nights of heart break and crying.  I can not believe what has happened. It is unbelievable, and totally a God thing! He knew I couldn't handle crying it out. 

 Since Mason is now standing I put him in his pack and play for safety reasons.  He still lets go, and just falls. The first day I tried CIO for nap time, and after 30-45 min of whining Mason finally fell asleep.  That night I put him down at 6:00, and he woke up at 10:00.  I fed him, laid him down, and after crying/whining for 5 minutes he fell back to sleep.  He didn't wake up until 7:00 the next morning.  Now...this is the child that before this night woke up every 1-2 hours!! He slept from 10-7?!! Utterly AMAZING!!  The next night he went down at 6:00 cried maybe 2 minutes, and fell asleep.  He didn't wake up until 6:00 the next morning!!! Whaaa? How is this possible? Seriously, have you ever heard of such a thing?  Every night since then has been about the same.  He does normally wake up at 10, but I can handle that!  We are both loving our SLEEP!! Praise God! Thank you for this peaceful transition!

Now, I don't have a picture of Bub, but he has been sleeping backwards in his bed.  His feet at the head, and his head at the foot of the bed.  He's been having some non restful sleep lately himself, so after some research we learned that he was sleeping with his head in the north.  This is supposed to be the worst sleeping position, so he changed it, and is sleeping much better!

I hope your sleep at home has been nice like ours!!

By the way...If you look closely at the second picture Trin has VERY chapped hands that I can not get a handle on.  Does anyone have any recommendations on what to use on her hands to get them to heal?
