Mason 12 months old

I know I promised a birthday post, but life is so busy right now. I will have it up soon!

In the meantime... here is Mason's 12 month post.

I think so! He's a year old now, and starting to look like a big boy! :)

I'm still trying to work on a birthday post. It should be done soon!

My last first birthday...

A week from today, on Easter Sunday, my Mason will turn a year old.  He's my last first birthday, and I am sad!  It makes me want to cry, and be reminiscent for a bit. Sunday will be a glorious day for several reason, but it will be bittersweet, and I am sure a few tears will fall.

As the day gets closer I finally decided to think about what Mason will wear for his special day.  I pulled out the outfit that Bub wore for his first birthday and Easter. I had forgotten that it was an 18 month, but I tried it on Mason just for fun. It swallowed him! I know these two boys look nothing alike, but it brought back memories of my first 1st birthday!! (tears)

I ordered Mason an outfit of his own for his birthday and Easter, but it is very similar to Bubs! And by luck, the rest of the kids have outfits they can wear for Easter to match.

(Casey keeps telling me to stop saying that, because we will have grand kids one day! ;) Knowing my kiddos...there will be many more first birthdays!

Anna's 10th birthday!!

Anna celebrated her 10th birthday this past week.  It was a big one for her!  She's in the double digits now! ;)  I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday! Her entrance to the world was definitely a roller coaster ride that we are still on, but in a totally different good kind of way!  We are so grateful to have her, and to have her wholly in our lives! She is spirited, and definitely an Aries!

 We are blessed by her in so many ways!

11 months old...

Wordless Day

My friend Emily has been having a wordless week this week on her blog, and I decided to join in and have a wordless day!  I know I will cherish these pictures from today!  I already do!

Yesterday...

was a fun filled day!!  The kids had a half day of school, so after school we decided to go have fun!

top left:  Mason "watched" his first movie at the dollar movies.  We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks...Chipwrecked, and although he has been to several movies as a tiny baby, this was the first one since last summer.  As you can see in the picture he was amazed, and this was just the previews! He loved it! He watched all but the last 15 minutes of the movie.  At the end he got a little antsy, and was tired of his bottle and puffs!  He wanted down, but stuck it out to the end. :)

top right: we went to Hobby Lobby for Bub some new paint brushes for art class.  They are starting on an acrylic paint project, and he chose a beautiful picture out of my Sunset magazine to recreate.

bottom left:  Bub, Anna, Trin and I went to the library last night for a Dr. Seuss birthday party.  Their teen performance group reenacted the story of Green Eggs and Ham, and afterwards passed out cupcakes and milk.  Trin had a Dr Seuss party in her class today, and The Cat in the Hat brought her class green eggs & ham.  Trin said she loved the food and wants to buy that kind. ;)  Her teacher says that she is the best eater that she has ever seen.  She is always telling me that Trin LOVES to eat!  She does, she really truly does.  I hope she keeps her great metabolism she has now as an adult.

bottom right:  Trin and Dad reading the books she got from the library.  I think they are both wrapped around each others fingers! Last week Trin checked out the book The Purple Kangaroo, and she can't get enough of it! We had to recheck the book because she wasn't finished laughing yet. haha!

I can't wait for summer! These days filled with activity is what I live for!  I love them!

Bub has mentioned that I sure am using a lot of collages these days.  If you think they are annoying, I apologize.  It's much easier to collage than to email myself all the pictures, save them, and upload them to blogger! For now...I'm happy with them!
