Will this girl ever wear shoes?

Trin does not like shoes, or boots for that matter! A couple of weeks ago I took her to the store, and told her to pick out any shoes she'd like to wear. After many shoes were tried on she chose these boots! I told her that the boots she chose were so cute, and the best boots ever! She was so proud, and couldn't wait to wear them!

When we got home she put the boots on, wore them for about 10 steps, and kicked them off. She said that she didn't like the boots, they hurt her feet, and they would be cute in her closet.

She was right. The boots ARE cute, and they're in her closet! I could almost kick myself in the rear for not putting any hard sole shoes on her until she was 20 months old. She wants nothing to do with shoes. She loves her flip-flops and crocs!!! I love my flip-flops and crocs too, but they are not the safest or warmest type of shoes to wear! What am I gonna do??

In Full Swing!

Our lives are HoPPin' right now! School is in full swing and our calendar is FULL!!

The kids are loving school, and the only complaint I've heard is from Anna, and she doesn't know why school can't start at 10:00 am. She's not a morning person and says that she would love school more if it started later!! ;) Wouldn't we all?

Our schedule these days includes: golf 2xs a week, private tutoring for Casey in Math...cross your fingers it helps, because it cost an arm and a leg! :(, gymnastics class for each of the girls once a week, Anna has brownies once a week, and drama club once a week. Trin and I have MOPS twice a month, and Bible study twice a month. Big Casey also has a Bible study twice a month, and church. We're contemplating doing a small group. My head hurts thinking about it, but I LOVE it!!! I love being busy and on the go, and loving my kids all the while!!!

So the story behind the potty picture..... This was our first trip to TX in panties, and I swear 15 minutes on the road and she's crying POOP! She saw me put this new potty in the car, and just had to try it out. Well, this picture was about the 5th time we stopped for her, and she never did go poop that day. She just kept telling us she had to go in her "special potty" I told her I was about to throw her "special potty" in the trash! Not sure I'll let her see me put it in the car next time. And let me just say, our road trip took ALL day...literally!

Sweet Landon

Today marks the one year anniversary of Baby Landon's death, and we dearly miss him! It comforts me to know that if he can't be here on earth, that he is in the arms of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! When I think of Landon this is the image I see. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Taylor and Valerie!

Company Picnic

The kids look forward to Casey's company picnic every year. The company rents out a family fun center where they have miniature golf, bumper boats, go karts, arcade games, lazer tag, paintball, and rock climbing. Anna lives for rock climbing, and it was first on her list.

I am so proud of Anna and the things she tries. I'm just not sure as a kid that this would excite me at all, but she absolutely gets a thrill out of pushing that buzzer every time!

Not sure if you read my blog Stef, but maybe this is one of those not so perfect pictures! :) Lol!

This was the only picture I got of Bub that night. He likes to take off and play lazer tag while I'm with the girls.

Anna is acting like she is going to spray Neen and I with water! Good thing she didn't!!! It was too early to get soaked!

Neen's first ride on the bumper boats. She loves boats! She even has her own "boat" keys Nana gave her! :)

We played lots of games that night, but we have to go back to cash in our game tickets for prizes. The line that night was way too long! I was so glad we didn't get any push back, but it does mean another trip, which probably means more FUN!!!

Trip to Tx

Last week we drove to Tx for a few days. We had a great time, and it was so fun to see friends and family! We did lots of swimming in Nana's pool, we bought school shoes, Anna and I got our hair cut (thank the Lord). Amanda took us to her favorite, and now my favorite sno cone place. We went to the Barnum and Bailey circus, and we got to go to one of our favorite fast food joints....Chicken Express. We didn't make it to Cane's this time, but next time will come soon.

Before we went to Tx Nana decided to clean the pool. She fell and broke her wrist in 5 places. She had surgery last Tuesday and they put 3 pins in her arm. Who ever knew that pins were 6 inches long? Ouch!! She's doing ok. She's having a hard time getting dressed and fixing her hair, but she is still driving to work each day! She is one strong woman!!

It was so nice to see my brother Taylor! Neen loves him to death, as do ALL the kids. He painted us some AWESOME pictures while we were there! I can't wait to get them hung on the wall. He and Valerie are supposed to come and see us soon! We can't wait!!

It was also nice seeing Valerie! She and I always have so many laughs. You know, because we're from that same "ERA" LOL!!! She keeps Taylor in line, and the kids love her!

Amanda, how did it turn out that I saw you 4 out of the 5 days we were there and I didn't get a picture of you or your belly? Makes me sad, but we were so happy to spend time with you! Thanks for spending time with us, and bringing us doughnuts everyday! Boy....we miss doughnuts.

Speaking of doughnuts.....I had some test run before we left to go out of town. When we got back my results were already in the mailbox. :( It seems my cholesterol is way high, my triglycerides are just as high, and my vitamin D is super low. So...it looks like a lot of lifestyle changes are coming my way starting 2 days ago. :( I'm kind of excited though, because I've been wanting to get "healthy" for awhile now. No better time than when a doctor says JUST DO IT!!!!
