Easter Part 1

Since our family went to church last night, and Casey is working today, I decided to take my monkeys to the zoo! We had a wonderful time although it was a little on the chilly side! The zoo was decorated and all the animals had paper mache eggs filled with treats! It was fun watching them dig into their goodies.

You will see that I posted a lot of pictures and none of them are of the animals. I do it everytime. One or two pictures of the animals, and then a slew of pictures of my kiddos! The zoo was an awesome start to our day! Maybe it will become a new tradition!

I think Casey and Anna look a lot alike in this picture!

Trin looks real enthused huh?! This is not what I had planned on them wearing today, but because it was cold I thought these Easter egg striped looking shirts would be cute! Their first and only matchy matchy outfits!

I love this picture! Most 11 almost 12 year olds would be too cool to pick up their sister!

I hurt!!!

So today was one of those days! If I could start it over I would. We got up this morning and got ready to go to Trin's gym class! The kids were excited because they were off today and would get to watch Trini have fun! As we were about to leave I hurried down the stairs and fell. I fell hard, and bounced down five stairs!!! I didn't go to the doctor, but I am pretty sure I broke my tail bone!!! It was intense pain that made me sick to my stomach, and I nearly passed out. Needless to say the kids weren't so happy because it put a damper on our day. We didn't go to Trin's class, or do any of the other fun stuff we had planned. We do have plans for tomorrow so I hope when I wake up I am not too sore to move!

We did have some sunshine in our day! My mom sent the kids a package for Easter which made their day! It is so fun to see the kids when packages arrive! They go crazy!!

I did throw on Trin's tutu, and some bunny ears hoping to get a couple of good pictures! Here are the best ones I got! I think the photo session lasted maybe 3 minutes. I took her across the street and she wanted nothing to do with it!

I love the look on Bub's face. He had fun showing all the eggs to Neen! Wait until she sees what's inside!

It is pretty sad when your 16 month old can sign "candy"! She figured out that those eggs had her favorite candy in them, jelly beans!

(No, I am not proud that she knows what candy is, but it is so hard for her not to want and try the things that the older kids have.)

Our Day Trip

Today we decided to do a little exploring on our own while the older kids were in school. We took a day trip up to the Jemez Mountains and can't wait to go back with Bub and Anna! The scenery was breathtaking!

This is the Red Rock picnic area in the Jemez Valley. The colors in this area are so beautiful and vivid! It is said that at sunset these red sandstone cliffs glow!

The Jemez River. Casey says this river is a fly fishermen's dream! He can't wait to go back!
