Mason 7 month old photo

I figured since Mason is just about a week away from being 8 months old that I should blog his 7 month photo.  We've had a busy month with my broken ankle, Thanksgiving, school celebrations, and now sickness.  The kids have all been sick since Sunday/Monday.  Neen has it the worst.  She is on day four of the worst stomach flu.  I feel so bad for her. She wants to eat and drink so bad, but every time she does, it comes back up.  The poor thing is tired of being sick, and cries because she is just "so sad"! The doctor said it could last for 5-7 days.  Please pray for her! I can't stand to see her so sick.  Mason just got a touch of the stomach bug, and now is onto the cold that the kids are also passing around. Ugh!  We need wellness here!!

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving!! 

We had a nice relaxing day, spent at home.  My sister and her family were with us this year! This year we had a lot of great food! Casey came up with a new stuffing recipe, and it was delicious! My other favorites were the turkey and cherry salad! My sister mad a toffee cake, and it was one of the best cakes ever!

Amanda made these onesies for the boys. Aren't they adorable?!

I love this vintage look! Reminds me of picures of me as a kid!  Eeek! Could I be vintage? I guess that sounds better than old huh?

This year we continued our tradition of "three things your thankful for".

Casey- being able to spend Thanksgiving with family.

Lil Casey- for being able to go to a great school.

Anna- for Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.

Trinity- for her teachers at "gyn nastics".

Me- Trinity's teachers at school.  They are so kind and patient with her. They love her, and tell her they do every day she goes to school.

Trinity wore her hat that she made at school for our Thanksgiving "feast"!  She kept referring to having our "feast" all day long.

Mason woke up at the end of dinner, and decided that he did not like cranberries.  It wasn't much of a surprise.  He hasn't found a food yet that he likes. ;)  It did make for cute pictures though. 



We were also thankful for the two new little turkeys that joined us this year! :)

Trinity's Birthday

Just a few cell phone pictures of Trinity's Birthday!

In the morning she woke up to a floor FULL of balloons! She was so excited and loved the thought of throwing them over the walkway opening, so she could enjoy them downstairs. She chose a breakfast of cocoa and biscuits made by Nana.

She opened one present at a time throughout the day, so the presents would last longer.

This firetruck, rescue boat, and helicopter was one of her favorites.

She helped me make her "Kit Kat" cake, and it turned out to be beautiful! It was so pretty, my mom didn't want to cut into it! ;)

Here she is outside of Chili's.  It was her birthday meal choice.  It's her favorite restaurant.  She shared a pizza and fries with Anna.

She also enjoyed sharing a chocolate molten cake!  That was her real reason for going! ;)  We normally don't allow so many desserts, but hey...you only turn 4 once!!

                      

 Forgive the lighting on this one.  Just wanted a picture of her with her cake. I think we re lit the candles about 20 times and sang and sang Happy Birthday.  She loved it, and every time she got that happy, shy look on her face where she sucks her cheeks in.  It was priceless!

Nana was here for Trin's birthday, and we finally confirmed who she looks like.  It's Nana! Look at THIS picture!! Twins I tell ya!

 I grabbed one last picture of her before bed.  As I was holding her I was thinking...this is the EXACT same thing I was doing 4 years ago! I love this girl to pieces!!  She is the sunshine in my day!

She had a wonderful birthday, and has informed me that she likes three better, and doesn't want to turn 5, or 6 ever.  Why is it that my kids don't like growing up?  Anna is the only one, and she already thinks she's 13.

One of my favorite girls will be  four years old on Saturday, November 12!

  She's still sweet and so funny, but she has a new found sass about her.

Saturday is also a big day for Casey and I. It will be our 15th wedding anniversary!

It feels like we were married just yesterday, yet it's hard to remember him not in my life.

We've almost been married as long as I lived in my child hood home. That seems so bizarre to me.

 Casey and I are going to a Third Day concert next weekend! I am so excited, and in love with the thought of us celebrating by praising God.  It is because of Him that we are together. HE made us for each other.

6 months of sticker photos

He is still just a little bitty thing, but isn't he just the cutest?

Six Months Stats:

He will be 7 months in just a few days. Sigh...where does the time go?

A little down...

When I realized that I had forgotten to take Mason's monthly sticker photo this month I quickly did it on Wednesday night.  I didn't put too much time or thought into these pictures.  It was just sort of a let's get this done sort of thing.  Mason wasn't happy, so we only took a few.  He started to get upset, so I put my camera down, and reached to pick him up off the floor.  As I was picking him up, I heard a pop in my right heel area with a sudden pain, and I fell to the floor.  Mason was fine, but I knew something was majorly wrong with my ankle/leg/foot.  I just didn't know what.

I went to urgent care where it took over an hour for me to be seen.  They finally called me back for an Xray, and then took me to a treatment room.  I waited another 30 minutes to see the doctor.  This time I was holding my breath so I didn't pick up any germs.

At this point it was close to closing time, and the doctor looked at my Xrays and said that nothing was broken, so I must have sprained it. He didn't even look at my foot. I told him that this felt nothing like a sprain, and I had sprained my ankle before. He said that this must just be a new kind of sprain...ok, your the doc... must be.  I was told to start walking on my foot within 3 days. 

Yesterday I started searching the Internet, because I knew I was not experiencing pain from an ankle sprain.  My symptoms led me to believe that I had a tear in my Achilles tendon, so I made an appointment with a podiatrist, and saw the doctor first thing this morning.

It seems that I have an extra bone in the back of my heel/ankle area.  The bone fractured, and completely broke away from the bone it was attached to. Right now, I am wearing a boot for 2 weeks (I about died when they put that thing on), and will be seen again to determine whether or not it will need surgery.  The doctor isn't sure if it will start to heal, or heal correctly, so she may have to surgically remove the bone. Ack!! 

 If you know me, you know that I have an extremely busy schedule shuttling the kids back and forth to school.  Trin goes half days, so there are some days I'm back and forth 3 times a day 3 days a week.  The school is about 30 minutes away, so I do a lot of driving. Not only driving, but I have to walk about a 1/4 of a mile to walk Neen to and from her class. And, let me tell you...walking on crutches with an almost 7 month old in a bjorn is hard work.  I've had to rethink how to do everything.

 I also realized just today that I can drive left footed.  It's a little tricky, but it's doable. 

You gotta do whatcha gotta do!

I guess this will make me slow down a little.  Maybe, I can use this time to work on my Christmas swap with my Mommy friends. I guess I just need to learn to sew left footed. ;)
